Spring Valley Potato Festival: Friday and Saturday: St. Rt. 725 and US Rt. 42. Crafts, Farmer's Market, live music, raffles, crafts, potato candy, baked goods auction, pet parade and more. Saturday, July 25th, 2-8 PM: Two Beers Grand Opening Party. The official opening of Two Beers' new facility, with Live Music, BBQ, games, giveaways, $3 pints, and much more incredible memories. Jesse- I was fortunate to be uncovered to all the great bands that were coming out of that region; Jayhawks, Paul Westaberg, The Replacements, Husker Du, Golden Smog, The Honeydogs, Prince, and even Son Volt recorded Trace. From then on I knew that I would usually have some thing to do with music. The Wiltern is located in Los Angeles on the corner of Wilshire and Western (therefore the title. Clever, huh?). This location is Massive, but it still has the feel of a small club. It used to be much more a conventional theatre, with fixed seats, but most of the seats have been removed. There are now five tiers on the flooring degree, and a number of seats up in the balcony. The good thing about the tiers is that they can pack a lot of people in, and everyone nonetheless has a pretty good view of the phase. This is 1 of the smallest, oldest clubs in the Hollywood area. It is on the Sunset strip on the corner of San Vincente. Valet parking is accessible behind the club, but it is way crowded and badly arranged. They misplaced my keys once too. That was extremely poor. Beware of parking on the road close to there though; the indicators are deceiving and you might get ticketed. I suggest parking in one of the lots additional down the road. This gap-in-the-wall joint has been the initial stop for many bands that are now huge, such as The Doors. I have seen numerous of my buddies' garage bands perform right here, as nicely as some of my favorite smaller-scale rock bands. It is an all ages venue that also has a bar. It is really small. The cool factor about how little it is, is that you are right up near to the artists- near enough to see the expressions on their faces. The not-so-cool factor is that well-liked exhibits are a claustrophobics nightmare. No make a difference exactly where you stand, there is no space to transfer. Getting throughout the space to the rest room can be a real problem. But when all is said and done, I adore seeing shows The Whiskey.
